Philip lives and works in the Scottish Borders
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Moray School of Art,
University of the Highlands and Islands
Among other topics, he was inspired to make work about the
Highland Clearances after researching his family history.
Finding that his ancestors were cleared from Arisaig and Kildonan
sparked his painter's interest in Scotland’s struggle through
the dark years before and during the Clearances.
